Tommy Cash was born in Dyess, Arkansas to a family of four sons and three daughters including Tommy's older brother Johnny. Tommy formed his first band in high school and soon enlisted into the Army performing for the American Forces Radio Network. After leaving the army, Cash played with Hank Williams, Jr., and was soon signed by Musicor Records in 1965. One year later, he joined United Artists Records and just missed the Country Top 40 in 1968 with "The Sounds of Goodbye." After singing with Epic Records, Cash released his biggest hit "Six White Horses" and the next year had two top ten singles with "One Song Away" and "Rise and Shine." Cash's final Top 20 hit was "I Recall a Gypsy Woman" which was released in 1973.
