Anne Murray Biography |
|
| Anne Murray is simply one of the most successful female artists in the history of Country music. Beginning with Snowbird in 1970, a Top Ten in both pop and Country, Anne Murray had major hits across a span of two decades. These hits included "Cotton Jenny," "Danny's Song," "Walk Right Back," the classic "You Needed Me" (her first record to hit the #1 slot on the pop charts), "Daydream Believer," "Could I Have This Dance," "A Little Good News," and many many more. Anne Murray has sold millions and millions of records and CDs, won countless awards, and a number of her records have been featured in movies. Her warm alto voice has gained Anne Murray fans all over the world. In the mid-90s, she teamed up with producer Tommy West to release Croonin', a wonderful album of standards that sold very well through TV without the benefit of a hit single. |
