Cristy Lane Biography |
| Eleanor Johnston didn't realize that when she married Lee Stoller she married a career. Lee believed in her singing, made her believe in her singing, and eventually made millions of Americans believe in her singing through the medium of TV advertising. On Stoller's own LS Records, and later on Liberty, Cristy Lane had a series of hit Country singles including "Let Me Down Easy," "Shake Me I Rattle," and the classic "Kris Kristofferson/Marijohn Wilkins tune, "One Day At A Time." Cristy Lane was voted Top New Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music in 1979. In the years that followed Cristy Lane's departure from Liberty, Stoller took her to even new heights with a series of brilliantly produced, strategically aired national and local television commercials.
