David Frizzell Biography
In the late '50s David Frizzell,, younger brother of the great Lefty, signed with Columbia Records. In the '70s he had a number of record deals that did not produce hits. But in 1981 David Frizzell clicked big as part of a duet with Dottie West's daughter, Shelly West, on the song "You're The Reason Got Made Oklahoma," which became one of the biggest hits of the year and earned them a number of awards. David Frizzell and Shelly West followed with a couple of Top Ten's. In 1982 David Frizzell struck it big again with the honky-tonk classic, "I'm Gonna Hire A Wino To Decorate Our Home."
