Don Rich and the Buckaroos Biography |
| Don Rich's brilliant guitar playing was the core of the Buck Owens sound and helped to make Buck's band, the Buckaroos, one of the best Country bands of its time. The Buckaroos had six chart records between 1967 and '70. From 1965 through 1968 they were selected as "Touring Band of the Year" by the Academy of Country. The Country Music Association named them "Instrumental Group of the Year" in '67 and '68 and voted Don Rich "Musician of the Year" in 1974, the year he was killed in a motorcycle accident.
