Donna Fargo Biography

Donna Fargo struggled with a few recordings in the '60s then, in the early 1970s, struck it big on Dot Records with a #1 smash hit called "Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A.," which also climbed into the Top-15 on the pop charts. Donna Fargo's follow-up, "Funny Face," was another #1 hit. For the rest of the '70s, her songs hit the charts with regularity, hits like "Superman," "You Were Always There," and "You Can't Be a Beacon (If Your Light Don't Shine)." Donna Fargo continued to chart through much of the '80s, and her unique voice made her a favorite on her tours. Donna Fargo wrote many of her hits and received fifteen BMI awards for her outstanding songwriting.
