Eddy Raven Biography

Up from the Cajun lands of southern Louisiana, Eddy Raven came to Nashville in 1972 and was signed to an ABC Records contract by music executive Don Gant. Almost immediately his records began to chart, and he continued to have near-hits for the next eight years. In 1982 Eddy Raven finally had his first Top Ten record, She's Playing Hard To Forget. The following year he really hit the big time with his first #1 hit, "I've Got Mexico," and over the next few years, recording for RCA, most of his singles were at least Top Ten. In 1989 Eddy Raven clicked with a pair of #1s, "In A Letter To You," and "Bayou Boys," both on Universal Records, but the next year, label changes took the steam out of his recording career. Eddy Raven combines a very appealing vocal style with energetic delivery to create great Country music.
