Everly Brothers Biography

There have been a number of great brother harmony acts in Country music but none have been more successful than the Everly Brothers, who were raised on Country music but found huge popularity in the pop field during the late '50s and early '60s. After a short stint with Columbia the Everly Brothers signed with Cadence Records. In 1957, they hit the jackpot with "Bye Bye Love," a #1 Country hit that also climbed high on the pop charts. Ditto with their follow-up, "Wake Up Little Suzy." Over the next few years they had one hit after another, including "All I Have To Do Is Dream," "Bird Dog," "('Til) I Kissed You," "Ebony Eyes," "Let It Be Me," "Walk Right Back" and so many others. The unique sound of the Everly Brothers sets them apart from any other act in the history of Country or pop music.
