Faron Young Biography

Faron Young had it all, a remarkably smooth Country voice and a strikingly handsome look. In 1953 while still in the army, Faron's first release on Capitol, "Goin' Steady," was a Top Ten Country single. Over the next two decades Faron Young had many hits, including "Live Fast, Love Hard and Die Young," "Sweet DreamsUnmitigated Gall," "Wine Me Up," and "Four In The Morning." His career record was undoubtedly "Hello Walls," a #1 Country hit in 1961 that also climbed high on the pop charts. Faron Young was nicknamed "The Sheriff" as the result of his appearances in a number of westerns."
