George Hamilton IV Biography |
|
In 1956 George Hamilton IV had a major pop hit with the John D. Loudermilk-written "Rose And A Baby Ruth." With his pleasant demeanor and folksy voice it was natural that George Hamilton IV might make the move to Country music, and throughout the '60s he was a regular on the Country charts with Top Ten hits like "Before This Day Ends," "Break My Mind," and the crossover smash, "Abilene," also written by Loudermilk. George has always had a partiality for folk songs, and he charted with such folk titles as "Steel Rail Blues," "Urge For Going," and "Early Morning Rain." Over the years George Hamilton IV has become one of Country music's ambassadors with successful TV shows in both Canada and the U.K. br>George Hamilton IV Discography |
