George Jones Biography
Many true country fans consider George Jones to be the greatest of all the great voices in the history of country music. The 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s all echo with the classic hit records of this wonderful singer who has lived life on the edge and somehow survived into the new millennium with both body and voice intact. His great hit records include "White Lightning," "Tender Years," "She Thinks I Still Care," "The Race In On," "The Window Up Above," "Walk Through This World With Me," "A Good Year For The Roses," "The Grand Tour," "He Stopped Loving Her Today," and "I Don't Need No Rocking Chair." We could go on about dozens of other hits, the many awards, and all the testimonials, but we don't have to. If you could only choose one male country voice to hear the rest of your life, George Jones would have to be the man.
