George Strait Biography
Since the mid-1980s George Strait has been considered by many to be the heart and soul of country music. He is a bit of a contradiction, a presenter of roots honky tonk and Texas swing music yet a man who admits the influences of Frank Sinatra in his approach to singing a song. George Strait has won so many awards over so many years that we can't list them here. Hits include "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind," "Oceanfront Property," "A Fire I Can't Put Out," "You Look So Good In Love," and "Love Without End, Amen," but, again, a list of George Strait's hits would read like the Houston telephone directory. And yes, he's been in the movies, too. He's George Strait, simply one of the greatest.
