Hank Williams Biography |
|
Simply put, Hank Williams is the greatest singer/songwriter in the history of Country music. The song that made him a superstar, "Lovesick Blues," was written by others, but from then on and with very few exceptions, Hank Williams' records were echoes of his tormented soul. Some of his many hits include "So Lonesome I Could Cry," "Why Don't You Love Me," "Cold, Cold Heart," "Hey, Good Lookin'," "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You," "Mind Your Own Business," "Long Gone Lonesome Blues," "Kaw-Liga," and "Move It On Over," just to name a few. In that brief period from 1949 through 1953 Hank Williams had 27 Top Ten hits, including five after his death on New Year's Day in 1953. Listen to Hank Williams' records and you'll understand why his emotional stylings set the standard for Country music over many years. br>Hank Williams, Sr. Discography |
