Hoosier Hotshots Biography

For nine years (1933-42) the Hoosier Hotshots graced Chicago's WLS Barn Dance with their zany comedy and music that today could loosely be described as Spike Jones meets the Cowboy Way. The Hoosier Hotshots also appeared in several movies with Gene Autry, Tom Tyler and Ken Curtis. They recorded for Decca Records and a number of other labels. In 1944 the Hoosier Hotshots scored with a big Country hit titled "She Broke My Heart In Three Places." They later had hits with two songs that have become standards over the years, "Someday (You'll Want Me To Want You)," and "Sioux City Sue," which they recorded with Two Ton Baker.
