Jack Greene Biography |
|
In the 1960s Jack Greene stepped out from behind the drums he played on the road for Ernest Tubb and, for a time, was one of Country music's most successful singers of love ballads. From 1966 through 1969 Jack Greene released eight singles on Decca. All were Top Five and five were #1 Country hits. The #1's were "There Goes My Everything," "All The Time," "You Are My Treasure," "Until My Dreams Come True," and the incredible "Statue Of A Fool." In 1969 Jack Greene also had a big duet hit with Jeannie Seely, "Wish I Didn't Have To Miss You." Then, suddenly, the magic almost disappeared. Although he continued to have chart records for years to come, he was never again a consistent Top Five artist. In 1967 Jack Greene joined the cast of the Grand Ole Opry and continues to perform on that show. br>Jack Greene Discography |
