Jean Shepard Biography

With a voice filled with conviction, Jean Shepard hit the airwaves in 1953 with "Dear John Letter," a duet with an unfeatured Ferlin Husky. The song hit #1 and was one of the biggest Country hits of the year. Over more than two decades with Capitol Records, Jean Shepard added numerous Top Ten records, and since 1955 has been one of the Grand Ole Opry's best known stars.
