Jeannie C. Riley Biography |
| Jeannie C. Riley came from nowhere in 1968 on the wings of a great song written by Tom T. Hall. Her version of "Harper Valley P.T.A." on little Plantation Records was a Grammy winner for Best Country Female Performance and was also voted the Country Music Association's Single of the Year. Jeannie C. Riley continued to have chart success into the early '70s and also recorded on Mercury and Warner Bros. In later years Jeannie C. Riley gravitated toward gospel music. Jeannie C.
