Jimmy Dean Biography |
| Jimmy Dean built a nationwide following on the strength of a number of TV shows, and later on his movie acting, but he also had his share of hits as a recording artist. Major hits included the mother of all country story songs, "Big Bad John," which went to #1 on both pop and country charts in 1961, "P.T. 109," a #3 hit on the Billboard country singles chart in 1962, and "The First Thing Ev'ry Morning (And The Last Thing Ev'ry Night)," a #1 country hit in 1965.
