Johnny Gimble Biography |
| Texas fiddler, Johnny Gimble is generally thought of as one of the best fiddle players in the history of the world. Five times the CMA Instrumentalist of the Year, Gimble worked as a session musician in Dallas in the early 50s before there was a Music Row in Nashville, and from the late 60s into the 80s he was one of Nashville's premier session players. In the early 80s he appeared in several feature films. Fans of great country fiddle playing are advised to pick up a Johnny Gimble album wherever they can find one because he is a uniquely gifted musician, a genuine fiddle star.
