Lefty Frizzell Biography

A year and a half after Hank Williams released "Lovesick Blues," another Country star arrived on the scene who in his time was almost as beloved by real Country fans as Hank himself. His name was Lefty Frizzell (born William Orville Frizzell), and for three years he was as hot as Hank with hits like "If You've Got The Money I've Got The Time," "Always Late," and "Mom And Dad's Waltz." Merle Haggard, John Conlee, John Anderson, Randy Travis, and probably about three quarters of the male Country stars since Garth Brooks arrived on the scene all carry echoes of Lefty Frizzell in their throats.
