Les Paul and Mary Ford Biography |
|
Les Paul and Mary Ford were one of the most popular recording acts of the early 50s. Les was known for his exciting guitar work and groundbreaking studio techniques, and Mary provided unique vocal stylings. Hits included, "How High The Moon," "The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise," the #1 smash "Vaya Con Dios" and many others. A typical Les Paul and Mary Ford record included Les's soaring jazzy electric guitar solos and Mary singing perfect harmony with herself. Les was a pioneer in the design of electric guitars and is considered by many to be the inventor of multi-track studio tape recorders. Eventually Les Paul and Mary Ford's marriage and their act broke up, but Les Paul remained a favorite of guitar aficionados, and later in his career he and Chet Atkins recorded together. br>Les Paul and Mary Ford Discography |
