Lulu Belle and Scotty Biography |
|
The Grand Ole Opry was only one of many great down-home Country radio shows during the '30s, '40s and '50s. One of the biggest was Chicago's WLS Barn Dance. Lulu Belle and Scotty starred on the Barn Dance for nearly a quarter of a century, starting in the mid thirties. They also made seven movies with Country themes and recorded for Bluebird, Conqueror, Trutone, Vocalion, London, Mercury and a number of other labels. Although Lulu Belle and Scotty never had big hits, their appeal shines through in their old recordings. If you are a fan of pre-Nashville Sound Country music, listening to Lulu Belle and Scotty will give you a great feeling. br>Lulu Belle and Scotty Discography |
