Marty Robbins Biography
For nearly thirty years Marty Robbins was a hit-making country artist. To say he had 94 chart records and sixteen number 1 hits does not begin to describe the effect his soaring, supple voice had on his millions of fans. For many years he closed the show at the Grand Ole Opry, often performing long beyond the scheduled sign-off time, much to the glee of the many fans that had come to the Grand Ole Opry to see him. Marty Robbins' hits included huge crossovers such as "Singing The Blues," "Knee Deep In The Blues," "A White Sport Coat," "The Story Of My Life," "The Hangin' Tree," "El Paso," "Big Iron" and "Don't Worry."
