Pee Wee King Biography
In the '30s Pee Wee King put together the Golden West Cowboys, which became one of the top western swing touring bands east of the Mississippi. For decades Pee Wee King led his successful band, but he will be best remembered as a songwriter with hits like "Tennessee Waltz," "Bonaparte's Retreat," "Slowpoke," "Changing Partners," "You Belong To Me," and "Bimbo." Pee Wee King is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriter Association International Hall of Fame.
