Rex Allen, Jr., recorded for several independent labels before he signed with Warner Brothers in 1973. In the late '70s he had a series of Top Ten hits that included "Two Less Lonely People," "I'm Getting Good At Missing You (Solitaire)," "Don't Say Goodbye," "Lonely Street," "Me And My Broken Heart," and others. In 1983 Rex Allen, Jr., recorded an album, "The Singing Cowboy," that took his rich baritone voice into the realm of the western music that had been so successful for his father.
