Ricky Nelson Biography |
|
Most people don't think of Ricky Nelson as a Country singer. Yet three of his pop hits from 1958 were also Top Ten Country hits. "Stood Up Waitin' In School" got to #8 on the Billboard Country singles chart, "My Bucket's Got A Hole In It," backed by "Believe What You Say," made it to #10, and his classic, "Poor Little Fool," climbed all the way to the #3 spot. Ricky Nelson's laid back style, his choice of songs, and the instrumentation on his records combined to make him a natural for Country airplay. If Ricky Nelson had chosen to do so, we believe that he could have been an adult Country star when his days as a teen idol had passed. br>Ricky Nelson Discography |
