Roy Wiggins Biography
Little Roy Wiggins is best known for his many years as steel guitar player for Eddy Arnold's band, the Tennessee Plowboys. By the 1950s Roy Wiggins had become so well known that he was featured on instrumental records by Dot, Starday and a number of other labels. By 1968 Roy Wiggins had achieved success in a number of outside businesses so he quit Eddy Arnold's band but continued to play on the Grand Ole Opry, backing acts such as Ernie Ashworth, the Willis Brothers and George Morgan.
