Statler Brothers Biography

There was a time when the Statler Brothers were the only singing group in Country music making hit records. For eight years they were part of Johnny Cash's touring show. During that time Columbia signed the Statler Brothers, and in 1965 they had a Top Five Country and pop hit, "Flowers On The Wall." In 1970 the Statler Brothers moved over to Mercury and began their long reign as Country's top singing group with hits like "Bed Of Roses," "Do You Remember These," "Class Of '57," "I'll Go To My Grave Loving You," "Do You Know You Are My Sunshine," "Charlotte's Web," and "Elizabeth." When the Statler Brothers' record career faded they embarked on a long-running and popular TV series. Statler Brothers fans also love the routine from their 1973 album, "Alive At The Johnny Mack Brown High School," featuring Lester "Roadhog" Moran and the Cadillac Cowboys.
