Willis Brothers Biography

The Grand Ole Opry has been home for so many styles of Country music including Cajun, honky-tonk, traditional string band and Country crooners. During the Willis Brothers' long stay on the Opry, Guy, Skeeter and Vic Willis, also known as the Oklahoma Wranglers, always gave the folks a good taste of cowboy and Western swing. In the '40s, '50s and '60s the Willis Brothers recorded for Mercury, RCA, Coral and Starday. They're signature hit, recorded in 1964, was "Give Me 40 Acres (to Turn this Rig Around)," a Top Ten Country hit.
